fundraising campaign for a trail around the east end of Falcon Lake

The South Whiteshell Trail Association In conjunction with Manitoba Parks and First Nations is exciting to unveil a new development: the creation of a trail winding through the untouched wilderness and diverse landscapes at the east end of Falcon Lake. This hiking and biking trail will connect two of the most beloved sections of the existing Trans-Canada Trail: the North and South Shore Trails. It promises a breathtaking 38 km circumnavigating loop around Falcon Lake, paying homage to the lands rich Indigenous history.

Join us as we embark on this extraordinary adventure, preserving the past, embracing the present and creating a sustainable wilderness experience for generations to come.

We build and maintain trails.

The South Whiteshell Trail Association (SWTA) is a group of volunteer locals, cottagers, businesses and trail enthusiasts who are dedicated to the planning, building, and maintenance of trails in the South Whiteshell Provincial Park, Treaty 3, traditional lands of the Anishinabewaki, Métis and Očeti Šakówiŋ (Sioux) people.

Since their inception, in 1997, SWTA has collaborated with organizations such as the Trans Canada Trail, Trails Manitoba and Sustainable Development (Parks) to build over 100 km of trails in the Falcon, West Hawk, and Caddy Lake areas. All of the great work done by SWTA depends upon volunteer efforts, donations, grants and fundraising.
