Connect the Shores - Fundraising Campaign
Help us build a trail around the east end of Falcon Lake. Connect the shores and create a 38km circumnavigating loop around the lake!
For over a quarter-century, the South Whiteshell Trail Association (SWTA) has stood as a testament to dedicated volunteerism. Our volunteers have poured countless hours into nurturing and maintaining a vast network of trails spanning more than 100 kilometers. The commitment and effort invested by our volunteers have been monumental, and the costs incurred in sustaining this extensive trail system have been substantial. The ongoing expenses highlight the continual need for support to preserve and enhance these natural pathways for the community and visitors to the South Whiteshell.
How your Gift can make a difference.
Donations play a vital role in fostering our progress, as they are vital in acquiring essential materials, tools, and equipment necessary for our trail work. Donations, whether large or small, are pivotal for ongoing maintenance, projects and establishment of new trails. They can be designated towards general funds or a specific project. Your donations foster sustainability, enhance the quality of existing trails, create new opportunities for exploration, and elevate user experiences. Moreover, your donation promotes health, physical activity, and physical literacy by facilitating the construction and maintenance of inclusive trails that cater to everyone's needs.
Also consider an In-Kind Donation:
Elevate your impact by considering a variety of in-kind donations to support our trail initiatives. Your generosity can take the form of essential trail building materials such as gravel and timber, ensuring the foundation for sustainable and well-maintained pathways. Equip our dedicated volunteers with the tools they need, from digging tools to material haulers, facilitating effective trail maintenance. Enhance the volunteer experience by providing beverages, lunch or snacks during workdays, creating a positive and energized atmosphere. We invite you to reach out to us, allowing for a tailored understanding of our specific needs and enabling us to align your generosity with a meaningful project that resonates with your vision for supporting our trail network.
How to Donate
All donations of at least $300 will be recognized with a brass plate on the plaque located by the Nite Hawk Cafe.
If possible, we request that donations equal to or greater than $250 be paid by cheque directly to the South Whiteshell Trail Association (address located below) or by etransfer (swtafinance@gmail.com) to help save on transaction fees. If dedicating your donation to a specific project, please indicate in the memo. Please also ensure you send us a separate email with your mailing address and phone number so we can send you your tax receipt (typically in January).
Donations less than $250 can be made online via CanadaHelps.org using the link below as the transaction fees are minimal. CanadaHelps.org will issue the tax receipt on our behalf. A cheque or etransfer directly to SWTA will also be accepted for donations less than $250 if that is the donor's preference.
Cheques can be made out and mailed to:
